I feel so bad my conscience is killing me a little. I found this huge lump on my cats right leg on Friday and I have no idea what it is. I've gone on the net to see if other people have had this same problem and i really haven't found out much. I thought maybe it was a black widow bite or some kind of bug bite. It feels like its filled with fluid. My husband decided to try to pierce it with a needle but its skin was too thick and my cat kind of cried. My cat is showing no signs of illness he's still the ornery cat that he always is... I think I will wait and see a couple more days...and decide to visit the vet. My sister said she took her cat to the vet because it had an ear infection and that visit cost her $300
I really don't need that right now...

Beware mothers!
This story really made me think of numerous times I've let my daughter just leave my side in the stores...

A man attempted to abduct 7-year-old Brittney Baxter in the toy aisle at a Walmart in Bremen, Georgia, and the terrifying surveillance video is now circulating like mad. I tried not to watch it – who wants to watch an attempted abduction? – but I had to click play because, um, this is kind of my worst parenting nightmare realized. Fortunately, the girl kicked and screamed and managed to get away unharmed – thank god.
Brittney said the man started talking to her while she was looking at toys. Her mom, Georgeanne Baxter, was picking up groceries in a nearby aisle. Suddenly, the man put his hand over Brittney’s mouth and tried to carry her away. But the little girl squirmed, flailed her arms and legs, and made as much noise as possible until the man let go, ran away and drove off in his car.
A description of the man’s car led police to his home, where he was promptly arrested. Thomas Woods, 25, faces a charge of attempting kidnapping (though he denies the claims). Meanwhile, he was out on parole after being convicted of voluntary manslaughter, which makes the whole things all the more chilling.
Some people have already criticized Brittney’s mom, claiming it was irresponsible of her to leave her child unattended in the first place. But others have shot back with the fact that she was close by and that no parent can keep an eye on their child at all times. Either way, it’s not the mother’s fault this deranged man tried to kidnap her daughter, that’s for sure. I’m just grateful that Brittney knew what to do in this horrifying circumstance – a lesson we should all be teaching our children.

Not an ordinary day at the lake...
My husband and I decided to go out for a day out to silver lakes. It was a wonderful day sunny but not too warm. We packed up our fishing poles and picnic basket and our family dog and ventured out for the day. When we arrived we paid our entrance fee to the park and drove out a little to find an area that was a little out the ways.We finally found a place an parked. There was another truck also parked there near us about three car car length's away and there was a man asleep sitting inside. I had just finished my can soda and decided to place it outside the car since there was no trash can near bye. We unloaded our stuff and ventured out to the lake.At the end of the day when it was time to go home we packed up and walked back to our truck. It was near evening time. When we got back to the truck we noticed that the same truck was still there. That didn't seem too odd what seemed really odd was the fact that the man sitting in it was in the same position as he was earlier this morning. We kind of laughed it off and mentioned "I hope he's not dead" yeah right,I commented. My husband asked me Why don't you walk over and knock on his window to see if he's o.k?I said "no" why don't you?We eventually decided to notify the park ranger. The Park ranger went to see about the matter. 20 minutes later he came back to let us know that the situation ended up being a suicide. The man shot himself with a revolver in the head and died instantly. So what ended up being a trip to the lake was also a last day of someones life. How sad.- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

The good old days... Part 1 Somewhere in time...
I don't know how many times I've heard this expression by grandma, by my mother, you know you hear it plenty old times by the elderly.
But really stop and think about it, Were the good old days really good?
First of all don't get me wrong Ive always felt like I was never from this time. I have a love for anything vintage. I love old cars. I love old furniture antiques, even old wine. I love the old music. And I adore the old classics movie related.
So when I see these old movies I wish why wasn't from a different time? Everything seemed more honest, more simple, and the romance when courting, and opening a door for a woman or carrying a girls books to class, or dueling pistols for their love seemed more desirable.
And if a man wanted to date you or marry he would approach the girls father and asked permission first.
There wasn't too much unwanted pregnancies and if so everything was hush, hush. And you didn't hear of many divorces.
And the fashion of the women back then was so beautiful. The women actually wore their hair more feminine. up in combs, braids or twists.
And women wore these beautiful gowns or dresses, you knew when a woman was a female and the men were the male.
And the men seemed like gentlemen the way they dressed in the movies like Carry Grant they were so manly and handsome, you just don"t see that anymore...
Everything was so much fresher I hear the food even tasted better not with all these pesticides sprayed on them. Women baked everything from scratch. Remember grandmas fresh baked bread?
I don't think there was much pollution either.
What really fascinated me was there less crime? So I've been told you could even leave your doors and windows open or unlocked. No one would break in and rape or rob you.
And children didn't know how it was to be spoiled, imagine that perfect children. We could spank our children in public and never have the fear of a cop arresting you for abuse. I guess there was no such thing as child protection. Oh yes even the teachers were allowed to reprimand them.
I bet they got away with a Lott of things, remember that movie Jane Eire?
And let's not forget one of my old time movies"somewhere in time" the movie was about a love story that really took you back in time. Christopher Reeve had to even die to go back in time to be with his love... But I will discuss that in part 2.....

young girl in the Doctors office

Today i had to go to a doctors appointment and while i was in the waiting room there was a young girl maybe in her late teen years and she was speaking with her mother who was sitting next to her. And what she said next really caught my attention she spoke of an incident that happened inside her home she mentioned some wine bottles that flew off the counter in her kitchen
that had flew off the counter all by themselves and then mentioning that she was texting it to her friend wondering if her house was haunted. I wondered how many people out there have this same problem? And is the paranormal the new black?

Ooh another chocolate recipe
A day later and this cake is more than half gone...

I kind of made this chocolate Cake
on a whim but I know that's how masterpieces are created right?
I started using silicone pans for baking way better for clean up. Even though I've read that they're non stick I still get nervous. So I oiled up my cake pan with minimal olive oil.
I really started experiencing with silicone when I was making my resin jewelry they're awesome.
My resin jewelry pieces pop out so easily. And then with all the different shapes you find available they are perfect.
So anyways, chocolate cake really I cannot take all the credit for this recipe it was really half box cake mix and the rest well I had to put my little extras into it.
Recipe:
1 box of devils food chocolate cake mix (follow the directions on box)
Substitute oil for olive oil
I use extra virgin
Substitute 1 egg for 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
Then after mixing
Add 1/3 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup Heath toffee bits
1/3 cup of chopped walnuts
Bake cake as directed
For frosting I used regular chocolate
( Warning) definitely need a glass of cold milk
Sinfully rich and chocolaty!

life.... a precious gift
-
We wake every morning with a start of a new day. But do we really live life to the fullest savoring every moment of our precious life?
I think it's in ourselves to take advantage of our gift of life. I've been very sick the past month thinking I had a very bad case of a bladder infection or worst yet kidney. Well Monday morning I had to rush to the hospital emergency room. Come to find out my prognosis was fibroids in my uterus. And if untreated leads to cancer. I was never one to get annual physicals. If I did go see a doctor,it was only for the flu. I figured what was the point? My over all health was never an issue. I now know when women get to a certain age, regular physicals are very important. A close friend of mine attended a funeral not long ago for a close female friend of his. It turned out to be cervical cancer, they detected it a little too late and she died. She was very young also. It's very sad when we women cannot be bothered to take some personal time for our well being. Why do we have to wait till were dying? Putting things off tomorrow, tomorrow, well tomorrow maybe too late. We need to stop being so caught up in our busy lives and if not think for ourselves, think about our children and family who will be devastated if we were gone. Life
a precious gift from god. We need to
show that we will cherish it...
Because we only get one chance.
